Day07 - View of the Showcase Flower Room Reloaded with 9 strains

Showcase Flower Room

The Showcase Room is entering Week 2 (days 7-14) of their flowering cycle and the plants are settling in nicely. Every plant was pruned this week and they responded well. The first 3-4 weeks of flowering the plants are still focusing most of their energy on growth while some energy is reserved for flower sets to start to bud. Believe it or not; we are already seeing some strains starting to show pistils!  Speaking of strains since they haven’t been announced yet we will do it here first. There are 8 main strains in the room with a 9th strain being a Micro Batch Trial.

  • Maraschino OG (SFV OG x Cherry AK-47)

  • Cheetah Fat (Cheetah Piss x Fatso 84)

  • 88 G 13 Hash Plant

  • MOB x Grape Cream Cake

  • Blackout Bobby (Gelato x Rainbow Chip)

  • Headband Cookies

  • Lemon Berry Candy

  • Purple Eurkle x Superskunk

  • Litchfield Afghani (old school Maine heirloom) is the Micro Batch

F0A Flower Room in week 9

F0A Flower Room

F0A is in week 9 of flower which means the plants are getting close to harvest. This late in flower the plants have really stopped growing and the flowers have stopped swelling so we are basically waiting for the flowers to “ripen”. We look at the flowers with a magnifier to see what the trichomes are telling us. This week the trichomes tell us the plants are close to being ready just not quite there yet. We at Small Batch harvest when the plants tell us they are ready, not just on a chosen date like at other places. 6 strains  in the room and we will list them in order of what we think will be ready first.

  • Gelato Pops

  • Iraqi Triangle

  • Sherb Cream Pie

  • Strawberry Jamz

  • Chem Kesey

  • Cap Junky

Veg Room - view of moms fully pruned with our aggressive “bonsai” prune style

Veg Room

The very large and bushy moms were all pruned aggressively this week and taken back to about half the size they were last week. Pruning this way is not the recommended way but the plants are resilient and can take it and in some cases they respond very well to the hard prune. If pruning this way, remember to cut back on the amount of water you are giving the plants.

Also this week we started planting the clones which will eventually be planted in F0A. Clones are planted in coco coir and the roots are treated with a mycorrhiza. Mycorrhiza is a beneficial soil fungi which helps improve root structure and improve water and nutrient uptake in the plant. Healthy roots lead to healthy plants!

That’s about all that’s new and exciting for this week. Please check back next week where hopefully we will have some news about harvest dates.
